Costumes will arrive by March. We will have dancers try them on in class, and if the fit is appropriate, the costumes will be sent home the following week in their costume bag. Families will then have two weeks to try the costumes on at home and contact us if they feel a different size is needed. Pre-Primary and Primary dancers will receive a new pair of tights with their costumes.

Tickets will go on sale on March 17th through the Barre Opera House. Unlike our full-production shows, tickets for the Matinée are open seating and priced at $10. Seating is first come, first serve on the day of the show. When you drop off your performer, you can reserve seats with jackets or bags.

FAQ:
what time should we arrive?
Dancers should plan to arrive 10 minutes before their scheduled arrival time to allow for parking, gathering belongings, and preparing for rehearsal. The set arrival time for your class is when dancers should be in the lobby, fully prepared to take instruction. Arriving early ensures a smooth and timely start, allowing us to make the most of our rehearsal time.
Can I watch the dress rehearsal?
We ask that families refrain from entering the theater until the doors open at 1:45 for the performance. The dress rehearsal will also serve as a tech rehearsal, and we want to maintain the integrity and excitement of the actual show.
what should i bring for my dancer?
Dancers should arrive at the theater in their costumes with performance-ready hair and makeup. While we have hair supplies available backstage, makeup will not be provided. Dancers should bring a labeled water bottle. We will provide nut-free snacks and water cups backstage, but families are welcome to bring their own snacks from the approved list below.

does my dancer have to have hair
and make-up done for the performance?
Yes, dancers are required to have their hair and makeup done for the performance. Stage makeup is important because the stage lighting can wash out facial features, and makeup helps ensure that the dancers' expressions are visible to the audience. The only exceptions are for allergy concerns. We recommend the below make-up brands for our youngest dancers. The minimum makeup required includes mascara, blush, and lipstick. This ensures the dancers look their best on stage while keeping things simple and safe.
