- If you wish to take your 1st half dancer home at intermission, you must notify us by May 10th.
- Dancers must clean their dressing room and have it approved by a staff member before being allowed to leave the backstage area. The cleanest dressing room wins a prize!
- Dancers must take all of their belongings - including their costumes - home after their final performance.
FAQ:
what do i bring to the performance?
Dancers should arrive for performances in their regular street attire. Costumes will already be placed in their assigned dressing rooms, unless they are from the teen/adult classes, who may have taken their costumes home after dress rehearsal. Dancers must arrive with their hair and makeup performance-ready. While we have hair supplies available backstage, we do not provide makeup. It is a good idea to have a small make-up bag with you for touchups. Additionally, dancers should bring a labeled water bottle and backstage-appropriate snacks (see snack ideas listed below). NO GUM OR CANDY IS ALLOWED BACKSTAGE.

what time should we arrive for the performance?
Dancers should plan to arrive 10 minutes before their scheduled arrival time to allow for parking, gathering belongings, and preparing for rehearsal. The set arrival time for your class is when dancers should be in the lobby, fully prepared to take instruction. Arriving early ensures a smooth and timely start, allowing us to make the most of our rehearsal time.
Can i go backstage to see my performer?
No. Only designated volunteers and staff members are allowed backstage. Dancers will meet their families and friends in the Lobby after the performance.
can i take my first half performer home at intermission?
Yes, you may take your first half performer home at intermission, as long as we receive notice by May 10th. However, we strongly encourage everyone to stay for the full show. Watching the older dancers perform can be an inspiring experience for the younger performers, and it also helps support our older dancers by providing them with a full theater audience
my dancer lost something at the performance.
where can i find it?
If your dancer left something at the theater, we will have a lost and found box in the chambers for the duration of the performance. After the shows, all items will be moved to the CD&FS studios. Any unclaimed items will be recycled or donated after July 1st. To help ensure items are returned, we recommend labeling all personal belongings and costumes. If we find items with names on them, we will email the families directly.
