Part-time/Hourly Pay
We seek a Front Desk Associate to undertake all receptionist and clerical duties in our Lobby. The ideal candidate will have a friendly, easygoing personality while also being detail-oriented and self-directed. You should be able to comfortably deal with questions and complaints while giving accurate information about programming, scheduling, fees, and performances. Your main goal is to make our students and families feel comfortable, valued, and informed while on our premises.

responsibilities
- Perform "opening duties," which include unlocking the doors, sweeping floors, and readying the studio for dancers.
- Take attendance and mark all future absences.
- Greet and welcome guests.
- Facilitate all Studio tours and trial classes for new families.
- Track and update registration and tuition payments.
- Answer questions and address complaints in a friendly, knowledgeable way.
- Answer all incoming calls in a welcoming and customer-oriented manner. Take messages as needed.
- Ensure that information is up-to-date, visible, and accessible to all students, parents, and supporters. Bring any deficiencies of information to the director's attention.
- Keep the front desk tidy and presentable with all necessary materials.
- Order, track, receive, and distribute costumes for our May performance.
- Monitor office supplies and place orders when necessary.
- Take up other duties as assigned. (Typically performance-related).
Requirements and skills
- Prior experience in a front desk or an administrative role is preferred.
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Good computer skills and knowledge of technology.
- Good organization and multi-tasking abilities.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn about the dance business to better address customer questions.
- High School diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications will be a plus.
Hours
IDEAL WEEKDAY SCHEDULE

Monday: 3:00 pm - 7:45 pm
Tuesday: 3:00 pm - 6:45 pm Wednesday: 3:00 pm - 7:45 pm Thursday: 3:00 pm - 7:15 pm Friday: 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm Total weekday hours: 21.5 Availability for at least one Saturday shift per month is preferred: 8:30 am - 1:30 pm |
$16 - $18/hr based on experience. Bi-weekly payroll.

Start Date for Regularly Scheduled Hours: August 24th, 2024.
Applicant must be available for paid job training beginning August 21st.
Summer Hours: We have limited summer hours available in June.
Mondays: 3:30-6:45 pm
Wednesday: 3:30-6:45
Thursday: 3:30-7:15
