Hip Hop Immersion Camp is a high-energy, full-day experience for dancers who want to deepen their skills while learning about the roots of true hip hop. Campers will explore foundational grooves, footwork, rhythm, and freestyle concepts, while building confidence, style, and performance quality through choreography and guided practice.
In addition to dancing, this camp introduces dancers to the history and culture of hip hop, including its origins, values, and creative influences. The goal is to help students not only move with strength and clarity, but also understand the culture behind the movement.
Each day includes technique, conditioning, choreography, and creative challenges in a supportive and encouraging environment. The week will conclude with an informal showing for families so dancers can share what they’ve learned.

Is this camp right for my dancer?
This camp is a great fit for dancers who are ready for a focused, full-day experience and enjoy learning choreography, building skills, and working as part of a group. Campers should have some prior dance experience and be excited to explore the true foundations and culture of hip hop in a supportive environment.
Dresscode
For Hip Hop Immersion Camp, dancers should wear comfortable, moveable clothing that supports athletic movement and personal style, such as a t-shirt or tank with shorts, sweatpants, or leggings (layers are encouraged for warm-ups). Hair should be secured off the face, and dancers must wear clean, non-marking sneakers that are dedicated for indoor studio use to help keep floors safe and clean. Please avoid jeans, skirts, dresses, or other restrictive clothing
What to Bring
Dancers should bring a labeled water bottle, a healthy nut-free lunch, and a healthy nut-free snack each day. No candy or gum. Campers may also want to bring an extra snack if they tend to get hungry in the afternoon. Send everything in a clearly labeled bag or lunchbox.
