Our October newsletter is attached and packed with events, opportunities, and reminders. Two quick notes to highlight:
Dear CD&FS Families,
After taking a breath to enjoy the warm days of summer, the staff and I have been back in the studio preparing for the new season. Over the past two weeks, we’ve welcomed dancers back as they work toward auditions for Teen Jazz and Junior Company. The first days back are always a little tentative. An exploration of where our bodies and minds are, not yet fully here and integrated, still lingering in the rivers, lakes, and mountains of our summers. It’s a joy to be back in the studio with the students. Feeling our bodies move and stretch again, waking up our minds to the demands of learning choreography, and opening our hearts and energy to the practice of performance. I want to extend a warm welcome to both new and returning families. The first week of classes is a blend of excited energy as we also take time to learn class policies, rhythms, and expectations. If you have any questions, please stop by the front desk to speak with AnnaMaria, our Assistant to the Director. She can answer any questions you may have. And if you catch me in the studio, don’t hesitate to say hi! I’m often in class teaching, but can always spare a moment or two. Here’s to a fabulous year of dance full of movement, growth, joy, and community. Best, Isadora Snapp, Director |
