Dear CD&FS Families,

Our November newsletter is attached. It’s a full one this month - performances, workshops, Spirit Week photos, Thanksgiving Break details, and some important reminders about the rest of the season - so please take a moment to read it through and add the key dates to your calendar.

A quick shout-out to Jr HipHop 4, who performed downtown on Halloween in the rain and still looked amazing! Good job, dancers. Thank you, Darlene, for filming and sharing:  https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1PuAQRL77OJDcx7GaeSs0HKZjpu38mLUG

Dear CD&FS Families,
Our October newsletter is attached and packed with events, opportunities, and reminders. Two quick notes to highlight:
  1. Albany Berkshire Ballet’s Nutcracker at the Flynn Theater is seeking male dancers ages 8–11 for the party scene. If you know someone who may be interested, please get in touch with the company directly. Rehearsals are held at Spotlight Vermont in Burlington. More info: https://www.albanyberkshireballet.org/
  2. Our regular class schedule will continue through June this year! We’ll take one week off after our May performance and then resume classes on Tuesday, May 26th, for four weeks. As always, families may choose to continue or drop classes after the performance; we hope that keeping the same schedule helps more dancers participate in June.

September 2025 Newsletter

9/1/2025

Dear CD&FS Families,

After taking a breath to enjoy the warm days of summer, the staff and I have been back in the studio preparing for the new season. Over the past two weeks, we’ve welcomed dancers back as they work toward auditions for Teen Jazz and Junior Company. The first days back are always a little tentative. An exploration of where our bodies and minds are, not yet fully here and integrated, still lingering in the rivers, lakes, and mountains of our summers. It’s a joy to be back in the studio with the students. Feeling our bodies move and stretch again, waking up our minds to the demands of learning choreography, and opening our hearts and energy to the practice of performance.

I want to extend a warm welcome to both new and returning families. The first week of classes is a blend of excited energy as we also take time to learn class policies, rhythms, and expectations. If you have any questions, please stop by the front desk to speak with AnnaMaria, our Assistant to the Director. She can answer any questions you may have. And if you catch me in the studio, don’t hesitate to say hi! I’m often in class teaching, but can always spare a moment or two.
Here’s to a fabulous year of dance full of movement, growth, joy, and community.

Best,
Isadora Snapp, Director
